webrax-Abrasive web belts for that special finish for metal surfaces
The finest possible surfaces with defined roughness values are a prerequisite for producing satinized surfaces, high-polish or so-called “mirror finishes”.
webrax-Abrasive web belts are used specifically for the decorative finishing of stainless steel.
Defined surface qualities are also required for special applications or downstream steps such as galvanizing or anodizing, for example.

1. The backing
Our Abrasive web belts are manufactured from a special fibre web in combination with a cloth backing, with the abrasive grit firmly anchored by a bond to make it correspondingingly durable.
We supply two designs for use a grinding belt:
- Abrasive web on XW-cloth
- Abrasive web, reinforced with cloth
2. Types of grain
We use the following types of grain:
- Aluminium oxide (Al203)
- Silicon carbide (SiC).
Warning: Grinding actions and grit size details are not comparable with those of abrasive paper and cloths (see also table entitled "Comparison of roughness values").
3. The bonding
The resin bond allows use under both dry and wet conditions. A benefit you will appreciate.
