Hermes Abrasives has been a world market leader in the production of coated and bonded abrasives with production facilities and subsidiaries in 4 continents of the world.

Corporate Policy Guidelines

The quality of products and the quality capability of the entire group are becoming essential prerequisites for long-term success in national and international competition. This is the primary concern of the companies management and the upper management of the Hermes Group.

In view of this, the actions and measures taken by the company are aimed at the continual improvement of quality while satisfying economic and environmental criteria. At the same time, the primary objective of our policy is to fulfi l the requirements agreed upon with the customer in an economical, timely and defect-free manner.

The policy is oriented along national, European and international laws and regulations and complies fully with these. Care is taken in every process of the business to ensure that natural resources are conserved. In consideration of economic criteria all plants and equipment intended for production are set up and operated in a manner that minimizes harmful environmental effects. Going beyond mere compliance with the applicable regulations, the Hermes Group continually improves its processes.

Quality Assurance, Environment Protection and Operational Safety

Quality assurance, environment protection and operational safety starts at top management level and covers all areas of the companies, the processes and all persons.

Quality, environmental protection and operational safety are realised by the performance of our staff. It is an ongoing task of leadership to promote and maintain a sense of responsibility for quality and cost minimizing, environment protection and operational safety at all levels.

Corporate Objectives

Concrete objectives are established on the basis of this policy, taking into consideration legal principles and other requirements, important environmental aspects, risk analyses, technological options and the general fi nancial, operational and business conditions as well as the opinions of interested parties (owners, customers, society, politicians, investors, etc.).

To achieve these objectives, the company’s management has decided to meet the requirements contained in DIN EN ISO 9001 for quality management and in DIN EN complete company management.

Contract Partners

In questions regarding quality, environment and safety we work together openly and in cooperation with customers, suppliers, civil service, relevant interested parties and employees.

All contractual partners that work on our factory premises are expected to meet the same requirements regarding quality, environment and health and safety as ourselves. Therefore they will be informed accordingly.
